The focus on India, be it our designers on red carpets or our food or our ancient wisdom, the trend now means serious business globally. More and more brands are leaning towards bringing forth the value in our culture and traditions of food and living. The turmeric had its moment, the ayurveda has more global promoters than Indians, the way of wellness is now South Asian. At this stage, building a brand having roots in Kerala, India, is a strategically winning decision. Bblewrap collaborated with Kathas to create a robust value translation through competent storytelling.
Kathas embodies the traditional echoes of the South Asian social rituals while honouring farmers and the land. The value in our stories comes from shared experiences we share with nature, people and culture.
Situated between cultures, among memories of childhood and nostalgia and culinary rituals that bind for life, we give you Kathas, the story that is inherently South Asian and expansively global.

IDENTITY DESIGN

Katha- a Sanskrit word that means “story”, “tale” or “narrative”. essentially referring to a spoken or written account of events; its etymology traces back to the root “kath” which signifies “speech” or “talk”.

BRAND STORY

The word Kathas traces back to Katha from Sanskrit, means a tale or a story. Not a familiar word on the global tongue, but a familiar meaning and emotion is what makes it beautiful. Meaning making and brand affirmation was one of the primary objectives of Kathas brand story. Understanding brand pillars was an important task that laid the framework for arranging the components that convey brand equity and quality.
To take this narration forward - it requires an introduction to the word and how it plays into the brand's origins and its intentions. Taking the brand name as a basis and bringing in each aspect of the brand like the land and farms, the people who work on it and their efforts- all became characters of the brand story. The value of the brand, quality of the product and its journey, along with the future intentions were clearly incorporated in the Kathas brand story.
